Celebrating the Spirit of Bihu Since 1981
Namaskar to all the wonderful people of Pathsala and the entire team of the Pathsala Rongali Bihu Sanmiloni.
Rongali Bihu is the soul of Assam — a festival that binds us together through our music, our dance, our food, and our shared memories. As an artist, Bihu has always been my biggest inspiration — the rhythms of the dhol, the sweetness of Bihu geet, and the spirit of togetherness that fills the air during this time of year is truly magical.
Pathsala, in particular, has always been a place where culture breathes. I have had the privilege to be part of the Bihu celebrations in Pathsala several times, and every time, I was moved by the passion and sincerity with which the people celebrate this festival. Whether it’s the performances, the decorations, or the love in the crowd — Pathsala gives Bihu a very special flavour.
I believe that true cultural strength lies in the hands of communities. The work being done by the Pathsala Rongali Bihu Sanmiloni over the years is a shining example of how community spirit can keep traditions alive. By giving space to young voices, local talents, and preserving folk values, you are nurturing the roots of Assam.
To all the young performers and culture lovers of Pathsala — always remember, every Bihu song you sing, every dance step you take, every tradition you honour — it all adds to the beautiful story of Assam. Keep moving forward with pride and humility.
Wishing everyone in Pathsala a Rongali Bihu filled with melody, harmony, and happiness. May this festival bring new hope and joy into your lives.
