Artist with expertise in Bihu Folk song and Dance

Celebrating the Spirit of Bihu Since 1981

Namaskar!
I feel proud and blessed to send my warmest wishes to all the people of Pathsala on the joyful occasion of Rongali Bihu.

Bihu is not just a festival—it is the heartbeat of Assam. It brings together love, unity, culture, and the spirit of our land. As an artist, I have always believed that through Bihu, we share our emotions, our traditions, and our identity with the world.

Bihu holds a very special place in my heart—not just as a performer, but as an Assamese. From the dhol, pepa, and gagana to the beautiful Bihu dance and songs, it is our way of showing the world how rich and vibrant our culture is. Pathsala has always been known for its deep connection with Bihu and its dedication in preserving our traditions. I am truly happy to see the younger generation carrying this legacy forward with such energy and love.

Let us take this Bihu as an opportunity to come together, forget all differences, and spread harmony. Let the sound of the dhol fill our hearts with pride and joy. May we continue to love and protect our culture like we do our families. Remember, wherever we go in the world, Bihu will always keep us connected to our roots.

Let me share a few lines of Bihu geet for you:

🎶
“Naoka baandhi loi jaamey, Luitor buwa paar,
Bihurey xuror maje, milibo xokolaar…”
🎶
(Let’s sail our boat across the waves of the Brahmaputra,
In the rhythm of Bihu songs, let us all unite.)

May this Bihu bring happiness, peace, and prosperity to every home.
I send my blessings to the Pathsala Rongali Bihu Sanmilony and to each and every one of you.

Bohagor Bihur suwoh xubhecha janalu!
Joi Aai Axom!

With warm regards,
Ranjit Gogoi
